Update: This post has been removed due to fear of repercussion from my HR department lest my blog ever be discovered.I am a paranoid little fucker. Also I am drunk.Good night.
You could inform HR... That way if the situation escalates in the future, you'll have a backup. You should totally stick it to the man.
Well you need to be careful. Do you really need this job? Do you really want to keep it? If you tell you will probably end up in the street, and that sucks.
CB, this is completely creepy. Completely.I'm not sure if HR will be helpful or not... but I would go out of my way to avoid ever being alone with this bastard again. EVER.Why doesn't he just keep his hand on Perky's ass?
If he is a really big shit at the Company then you get bet there have been other complaints and you can bet you will be "pushed" out the door if you go to HR.
i work with 4 copymachine call xerox , xerox is a evil machine , my boss say somthing elese ;P
Nothing like a good ass grab in the middle of the day!!!!!!!!!
If you don't go to HR and it happens again, you'd be perfectly justified in wiping a booger on him.
I'm so glad I got to the site to read the original post before you became paranoid. It simply adds even more humor to your post. (not that sexual harrassemtn is humurous). But, you have proven anything can be funny when put in a "different" light. Thanks for the chuckles.
The removal was probably a good idea, but I too am glad I got here to read the story first.I promise not to tell anybody.
I had actually thought the blog post could serve as "proof" of prior inappropriate behavior if it happened again.Damn.Glad I saw the original post!
you can't get fired for reporting sexual harrassment. That's illegal. No one would know anyway, unless your HR sucks and is violating confidence...which is also illegal. You let the nasty old bastard win if you let him exert that sort of power over you. It's really fk'd up. If it gets worse or continues in the future, you'll have no back up and it will be his word against yours. Build a case, it's your right to protect yourself.
I wish I had read the original post. I agree with diane s., that would have been good supporting evidence. Plus if you had lost your job I bet you could go on to support yourself with blogging like Heather Armstrong of dooce.com. You are that talented.
Crap! I miss hitting your site for one day! ONE DAY... I always miss all the good stuff...
if you want to read all about the cautionary tale of a firing due to a blog - go to www.dooce.com and hit the archives. plus, her blog is kick-ass.
The worst kind of offenses are those in which positions of power or authority are bent to effect abuse on those under the jurisdiction, and responsibility of, the abuser.Unfortunately that's the natural tendancy of most all men when the are in, or think they are in, a position of power.
there's no future in paranoia, it'll keep you in a double-wide eating twinkies, like a sister of mine, until one day you go to work and see this is the last day of your miserable life dodging meteors that aren't even in the air... KEEP WRITING... great reading for any artist living in a culture void (like Kentucky) wishing to think outside the box... or basket
Get a lawyer. A blog is not the place to deal with criminal behavior like sexual harassment in the workplace. Then let this SH guy at work make you rich off of his testosterone.
