Like You Weren't Expecting It
Scene: Ex-Boyfriend’s bedroom, 4am. He rolls on top of me in his sleep and holds on for the cuddle.
"Ex-Boyfriend. Ex-Boyfriend!!!!!!"
"Mmmmmmm."
"You know I can’t sleep when we’re cuddling."
"Mmmmmmm."
"Just get off of me!!!!!!" Pushing and shoving and grunting noises commence. I begin to pinch him.
"You’re so mean." Somehow he is still half on top of me.
"I need to sleep."
"What about my needs?" he says, half-whining, half-muttering. "I need to hold you."
"How fucking old are you?"
He rolls over. And moans to let me know it is very, very difficult.
I realize and respect that my little corner of the bloggy universe hates him and may, in fact, hate me were I to get back together with him.
Ridiculously enough, I am actually beginning to fear that this is affecting my decision-making.

It's probably not your blogger audience that is affecting your feelings. It's the little voice in your head that is saying, "If it's happened once, it can happen again. You've unintentionally shown him that he can misbehave and still keep you in his life." Having his cake and eating it too. Careful.
My ex never cheated on me (as far as I know) but it was definitely all about him all the time. It was his world, I just lived in it. That's what this post reminded me of: nevermind your comfort - it's all about him.
Hmm. I get the impression everybody here has read far more of the archives than I. Does that make me a bad friend? Well, I guess I'm not really a friend.

Hey. I love your blog. Honest and funny. As for ex-boyfriend, he sure sucks - sounds like someone you should get rid of right away.
Don't beat yourself up. We all need a booty call every once in a while. However, if you do this more than once a month it could be considered a rekindling of the relationship.
Well also keep in mind that he is gaining weight. Just saying.
Instead of thinking that he's getting what he's wanting, just look at as you are the one that's having her cake and eating it, too. Maybe it is time that YOU used HIM?
And yes, of course you have to be careful, but you already know that.
Some girls would kill for a guy that cuddles. I would chose sleep but that's just me. I like how he's still ex bf even though y'all still have sex. There is a different, I appreciate it.
