My boss just pulled me into the scary conference room (reserved for interviewing, firing, reviewing, etc.) and asked if I had been interviewing Friday instead of attending my "possibly fabricated" wedding.
"No..." I told him. "I was a bridesmaid, remember?"
"A bridesmaid, huh?" he asked, getting a Caught you! look in his eye. "If you were a bridesmaid I want to see pictures. I want photographic evidence!"
"Okay."
His intuition is astounding. This is just about the only time I have taken off work for a reason other than interviewing.

Hmmm, I think you should ask him why the hell he's asking you that. I'm a manager and that's not a normal question. Sample script to use: "I was thrown off when you asked if I was interviewing on Friday. Is there something I'm doing that's making you feel like my attention is elsewhere?"
Seriously, make him explain himself.
Also, I'd like to know how he plans to guarantee that the photographic evidence is from Friday. I mean, how many people photograph themselves with a newspaper every time they are a bridesmaid, just to prove to their bosses that they were, in fact, at a wedding, on that date? I mean, ask for an invitation, for god's sake, not a PHOTOGRAPH.

What fantastic fortune tho, that he picked the ONE TIME you were doing what you said you were doing - now he'll never 2nd guess you again!!
What pathetic excuse did he stumble out when you showed him the pictures of you at the wedding CB.
Next time you want to skip work for something tell him you have a doctors appointment, then ask if he wants to see the pictures after to prove it.
That should shut him up for good.
